Moms, It’s Time to Take That Pressure Off Yourself.
This School Holiday is Going to be FUN!

Uh-oh, school holidays are here again! It feels like it’s only a week since the last school holiday! If you’re a parent, there’s that feeling of dread inside of you and hey, you’re not alone. Most parents and we dare to say more than 90% of them are feeling the same thing.

Either you’re a working parent or stay-at-home moms, it’s inevitable that school holidays will bring a tangle of feelings; this includes stress, guilt and anger. Most parents feel pressure to find ways to keep their children occupied.

Imagine a one month school holiday and each activity needs to be different from yesterday or the day before. Parents are urged to be creative and worry not, we’re here to help you out!

But hey, before we go on about all the activities, we suggest you get a calendar so that you can organize things properly for you and your children.

Here are some of the things you can do with your children this school holiday:-

Out-of-the-Door Experience

Your children are kids, they are young, they want to go out, they want to have as much fun as possible with nature and grass. If they’re inside, they would most probably stare at the black mirror watching YouTube and other digital platforms.

Your children would want to explore the world, they are curious human beings. So if you have the energy for it, what are you waiting for? Just GO!

Picnicking, riding bicycles/tricycles, jogging at the park & camping are some of the things we believe your children would be happy to participate in even if they refuse to do so the first time. You may also find some camping trips for your children. Look it up on the Internet and there are dozens waiting for you to register.

Just try and create memories together. Don’t forget to take pictures!

Let’s Polish Those Talents

Usually in school, your children will learn more hard skills than soft skills; this may be computer skills, coding, scientific knowledge, mathematical solving skills and language.

During this long holiday, your children should take a shift and polish their talents. This is when extracurricular activities play an important part for your children. Sign up for a few classes a week and the only goal is for them to have FUN! Tap into your children’s interests, ask them what they like and if they have a true passion that doesn’t involve anything they learn in school. This may be taekwondo, swimming, acting or other various fields.

Other than finding their own talents, they can also make new friends which can be a very good thing for your children.

Weekdays = Weekends

When it comes to a month of holiday, your children will perceive every day like weekends. They would want to enjoy each day just like Saturday and Sunday. Due to this, your children are constantly finding something fun to do.

You may seem to think that only a couple of things you can play in your house but there are actually a lot of things your children can try their hands on. From board games to digital games, your children can experiment with Twister, Cluedo, Monopoly and Tumblin’ Monkey (board games) or Roblox, Minecraft & Crash Bandicoot (digital games).

Your children can also do simple exercises or physical activities in your house during the evening to pump up the adrenaline and throw that couch potato energy away. As long as it’s safe and fun, it’s good to go!
